Peo's Evolution Journal

Conclusion

So on the fourth floor of the museum, we traced the evolution path of vertebrates. We started with the earliest vertebrates that had a backbone and a brain case and went all the way up to me! And you too.

On the way we saw T-rex, archaeopterix, the parasaurolophus we hunted for, mammoths, dimetrodon, giant sloths, sabre-toothed animals, and pteradons.

Giant sloths and T-rex were my favourites.

The most important thing I learned was that you can pass DNA if you have lots of babies that can pass theirs on too. You can pass your DNA better if you have jaws, teeth, a back bone and brain case, cheeks, and other things that let you get more food or avoid being food yourself.

Evolution is fun!
